Hi!
My name is Christopher Llewellyn Reed, and I am a Filmmaker and Assistant Professor of Film and Video at Stevenson University in Maryland.
Click here for examples of our students’ work.
I am also the 2008-2009 Vice-Chair of the Stevenson University Faculty Council.
Click here for the Faculty Council site.
I have a personal website with some of my films and videos, as well as my biographical info and full CV.
For now, here is, briefly, my story:
I am half-French, and grew up bilingual and bi-cultural. Then, in college and grad school, I studied Russian, Russian Literature, and Russian Cinema, earning an MA in Russian and East European Studies, with an emphasis on the films of Andrei Tarkovsky. After a number of years teaching French and Russian at Exeter and Choate, two New England boarding schools, I decided to go to film school and study film production, and received my MFA from NYU.
I am now an independent filmmaker, working in Baltimore and New York.
This is my third year at Stevenson University, and I am happy to be here.
Thanks for reading.
Cheers,
Chris Reed
