Time for another “best of” film list (oh, and Happy New Year!)

It turns out, as I read a lot of media critics’ “best film” lists of the year, that I haven’t seen that many of the truly important films of the year. I’ve seen Avatar, at least, which was beautiful (but the story, itself, was too banal and derivative for me – loved the artistry of the effects, at least).
I guess I’ve been busier than I thought . . .
But I’ve seen enough films this past decade that I thought I would join the mania and list my 60 favorite films of the past 10 years. I know, I know – why do it? Then again, why not?
